UAE’s Maritime-Medical Venture DOCKTOUR Extends Vital Support to Angola with Donation of Essential Medicines
Luanda, Angola: DOCKTOUR, the joint maritime-medical venture between AD Ports Group and Burjeel Holdings, has extended vital support to Angola’s healthcare sector with the donation of 800,000 essential medicines.
The consignment, which included critical antibiotics, pain relief medicines, and treatments for chronic conditions, was formally handed over through the Ministry of Health in Angola and distributed in the presence of Dr. Silvia Lutucuta, Angolan Minister of Health, and dignitaries from the UAE.
Mohamed Eidha Al Menhali, Regional CEO of AD Ports Group, and Safeer Ahamed, Co-CEO of Burjeel Holdings, attended the function alongside officials from both nations, underscoring the shared commitment to strengthening healthcare delivery and international cooperation.
The donation of essential medicines will assist Angola’s Ministry of Health in enhancing the distribution of vital drugs, ensuring they reach communities where they are most needed.
“We are grateful for this generous support. Angola and the UAE share a common vision of strengthening and enhancing healthcare systems, and today’s contribution reflects that spirit of partnership. The medicines donated are widely used in the treatment of acid-related disorders, diabetes, bacterial infections, allergies, hypertension, and cardiovascular conditions, providing support for some of the healthcare challenges.

DOCKTOUR and Angola’s Ministry of Health have signed a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen healthcare infrastructure, optimize supply chains, and enhance medical services across Angola.
Luanda/Abu Dhabi, August 28, 2025: DOCKTOUR, the maritime-medical joint venture between AD Ports Group and Burjeel Holdings, has entered into a strategic MoU with the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Angola. The agreement establishes a framework for broad collaboration focused on elevating healthcare delivery, developing state-of-the-art medical infrastructure, and fortifying supply chain systems throughout the country. The MoU was formalized by Dr. Benedito Hernani Da Silva Quinta, Director of Nacional dos Hospitals; Mr. Mohamed Eidha Al Menhali, Regional CEO of AD Ports Group; and Mr. Safeer Ahamed, Co-CEO of Burjeel Holdings. Docktour Leads Major Advances at Madol Hospital, South Sudan
Madol Field Hospital in Aweil East, South Sudan, opened in February 2025 and was inaugurated by Sheikh Shakhbout bin Nahyan Al Nahyan in March. It serves as a critical center for both emergency and general medical care in the region.
Phase 1: Establishing Core Outpatient and Emergency Services
Phase 1 introduced comprehensive outpatient care, including general medicine, surgery, pediatrics, ENT, and orthopedics, supported by a 24-hour Emergency Department as well as laboratory, pharmacy, and radiology services.
Phase 2: Expanding Inpatient and Critical Care Capacity
Phase 2 was accelerated in response to urgent community needs and added 40 inpatient beds, an Intensive Care Unit, and a fully equipped Operating Theatre, significantly enhancing the hospital’s service capacity.
Despite limited resources, the hospital successfully managed recent malaria and cholera outbreaks. Staffed by 94 healthcare professionals, Madol Field Hospital also leads public health initiatives through vaccination campaigns and upcoming malaria intervention programs, solidifying its position as a vital regional healthcare hub.

Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak Hospital and Dialysis Centre Project
The Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak Hospital and Dialysis Center in Chad is a full-spectrum healthcare project delivered by Docktour Operations and Management in partnership with the Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation. The development includes a 102-bed multispecialty hospital and an 80-bed dialysis center with a combined built-up area of 13,540 sq.m, as well as a 28-bed staff accommodation facility covering 1,825 sq.m.
The hospital will offer essential and specialized services, including Emergency, Outpatient Clinics, Imaging, ICU, Operating Theatres, Labor and Delivery Rooms, CSSD, Laboratory, Pharmacy, and Dialysis units. It will also provide key specialties such as Pediatrics, OB-Gynecology, Orthopedics, Internal Medicine, and Cardiology.
Operonix will lead full operational setup and ongoing management, covering manpower recruitment, facility maintenance, clinical and support service delivery, and quality assurance. This project aims to significantly improve healthcare access and quality in Chad, strengthening regional health system resilience and supporting sustainable medical infrastructure development.
